mopeds;

mostly this is to keep track of rebuilding, modifying, riding and loving mopeds.

as of september 2009, i presently own five mopeds and am working on three of them – a 1978 puch newport L, a 1980 peugeot 103 LVS U3 and a 1976 motobecane mobylette. my 1993 tomos a3 bullet is reliable and well loved. i also own a customized 1978 puch magnum that i built – it is my pride and joy.

details & plans:
the puch newport: 50cc tccd cylinder kit, puch estoril pipe, 15 SHA carb. currently needs to be wired and the rear wheel needs to be rebuilt – also need to find a front wheel. i will probably be selling this bike in the spring.

peugeot lvs u3: 70cc malossi cast iron cylinder kit, 15 SHA carb, polini top one exhaust pipe, modified variator. currently the engine needs to be rebuilt and the bike needs to be rewired. i will be selling this bike in the spring.

motobecane mobylette: av10 engine, 70cc airsal cylinder kit, varplus variator, 15 SHA card, ninja g3 exhaust. currently need to build up the av10 engine. eventually i will put a bigger carb on this bike.

i’m also a member of the local seattle chapter of moped army known as the mosquito fleet.
